BiographyEdit

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Simpson started recording music at the age of 14. Around when he became a teenager, Simpson left his home and started recording music with his longtime friends Ameer Vann, Dom McLennon, Mic Kurb, and his in-house producer, Romil. In 2014, Simpson released his debut studio album MTV1987, which was met with critical acclaim from various music blog websites. A year later, Simpson announced his sophomore album Death of a Supermodel but he decided not to release it and that he was also working on a entire new album. But before releasing his second album, Simpson was a opening act for the band "The Neighbourhood" and he would only perform songs from the album before it's official release.

In 2016, Simpson released his second studio album American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love Story on November 18, 2016 to positive reviews.

Aside from his solo work, Simpson is also the leader of the alternative boy band BROCKHAMPTON as the collective has released two studio albums, a mixtape, and starred in the television show American Boyband which aired on Viceland.

Simpson is openly gay and frequently references this in his raps as way of providing representation for other LGBT people[1]. He is currently dating Jaden Walker.
